In a world of misleading clickbait and inaccurate science news sources, how do we vet accurate and appropriate resources online, and how do we teach students to do the same? In this session, we will introduce you to the CRAAP Test, which is a model used to critically evaluate sources. We’ll show you how to find free sources online for the latest science news, assess sources together using the CRAAP Test, show you different methods and ideas of using this model in class and on field trips, and provide both paper and digital resources to take back to your classroom.
